A Few Vgeas Computer Forensics Terms & Definitions
- De-duplication – The process of providing one instance of an item when there was once two or more identical copies.
- Operating System (OS) – An important and necessary program that runs on each computer so that the computer can run other programs.
- PDF (Portable Document Format) – A proprietary format of Adobe Corporation, it has become a de facto standard for transmitting documents
- Keyword search – A method of searching for documents that possess certain words specified by a user.
