    • Repository – A centralized database stored on a computer that houses specific information.

    • JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) – A compression format used to store photographs.

    • Computer Investigations – As defined by federal and state statutes computer evidence may be found on any storgae unit used to hold electronic data. IE; floppy disks, backups, zip disks, burned CD roms, etc.

    • Native Environment – The original configuration (software, passwords, server configuration, etc.) of a backup tape or email system.
